Finding yourself in the job market without warning can be devastating... but it doesn't need to be.
It really is a mixed blessing. Find yourself an experienced coach/mentor. First you handle the anger and then the frustration. You take stock of your personal inventory, look at your assets, "what have you got to offer a prospective employer", identify what is it you like to do, identify the target companies/organizations, do your research, develop your marketing package (your resume, cover letter and 30 second sound bite)and do your networking. Then and only then you "get your act together" and market yourself...
It may sound pretty simple... it's not... it's a roller coaster like no other. However, with the assistance, guidance and some times "tough love" of Warren Lundy, the consummate professional and personal coach, you will survive, and even thrive... I did !!!
